Abstract

It is no longer a secret to the observer about the achievements of the developed and less developed countries, in particular, some of the Arab countries, which, over the past decades, have developed programs to train archivists, whether they are independent or affiliated with other scientific branches. Considering that the archive as a science has moved from the field of history to information sciences by introducing new materials related to information and communication technology, and it is moving towards independence by establishing special departments to teach it in universities apart from information science and libraries.
Without a doubt, all of this helped her to speed up the transformation and move from the stage of traditional transactions to cover the needs of national and regional archives centers, to the stage of managing document content and making archival information available.
Perhaps at this juncture, the problem of the study, based mainly on evaluating and measuring the extent of the success of the archive management program in the Department of Information Studies at the School of Humanities at the Libyan Academy for Graduate Studies, in achieving outputs of skills and abilities that would enable it to make progress and develop the archival profession in Libya, especially with the lack of education systems The university, whether in the first university education stage or the master’s and doctoral stages, for academic programs in the field of archives independently.
