Dr. Salwa Ali Milad : A pioneer in the field of documents and archives

Abstract

The field of documents and archives is one of the difficult fields of study and research, yet a unique researcher, and academic staff member invaded it, namely Prof. Dr. Salwa Milad.
The study seeks to shed light on her educational, scientific and career path, as well as monitoring and analyzing her intellectual output and its most prominent characteristics. It was found that she presented 44 works in the period from 1970-2022 : (2 theses, 16 books, 1 chapter of a book, 14 studies in conferences, 11 articles in journals). The analysis of the intellectual output has resulted in that Dr. Salwa Milad presented several in-depth and original studies on diplomatics. She also studied, and published several important historical documents, in addition to her distinguished studies on archives.
In her research and studies, she was interested in rooting for diplomatics, and also in dealing with modern trends in this field, and in addition to this, her interest in documental and archival terminology, and also her exposure to the standards in the field because of their importance in controlling work and its quality.
