Freelance Platforms in the field of Libraries and Information : a Literature Review

Abstract

The study aims to monitor and survey Arab and foreign intellectual production on the subject of freelance platforms in the field of libraries and information, to contribute to spreading awareness of their importance, and their role in finding job opportunities for many graduates of library and information programs, and to come up with numerical, qualitative and objective indicators of the literature on the subject under study from 2011 until The end of 2022, without being restricted to geographical boundaries, and depending on the descriptive approach in its survey style. It concluded with a set of results, perhaps the most prominent of which are: the numerical superiority of foreign literature over its Arabic counterpart, and that the year 2018 witnessed the highest rates of writing on the subject, and the highest rates of literature on the topic of freelancing platforms in general, followed by the features of Freelancer specialists and the factors affecting customer satisfaction.
