Abstract

When a person mixes literature with science, and when novelist imagination mixes with library and information work, the result is a unique personality that deserves to be recognized and to highlight its intellectual contribution.
The study seeks to provide a brief scientific career, as well as a description of the most prominent features of the intellectual output of Dr. Zain Abdel-Hadi, based on the bibliometric approach. It has been possible to list 134 works by Dr. Zain Abdel Hadi in the field of libraries and information, which he presented in the period from 1993 to 2022. An analytical reading of this intellectual output shows that most of it falls within the information technology circle, especially those related to expert systems, automated systems, databases, the Internet, and its applications and uses in the field of libraries and information. And it was Dr. Zain Abdel Hadi is one of the first librarians who contributed to the applications of technology in the field of libraries and information, in addition to his writings on contemporary issues in the field of libraries and information in general and in the publishing and book sector in particular.
