The technological revolution has brought about several radical changes, the most notable of which is artificial intelligence, which has invaded all fields, particularly scientific research, effectively contributing to the advancement of nations and peoples. Artificial intelligence is considered one of the most prominent developments in information and communications technology. Technological developments are also the most important driving force behind scientific research and development. This study seeks to identify the most prominent artificial intelligence tools that can be employed to serve scientific research and to explore the main challenges researchers face in using and benefiting from artificial intelligence in this regard. The study relies on analyzing the intellectual output published on the subject. It was found that the use of artificial intelligence tools supports the scientific research process without eliminating traditional methods; rather, it enhances their performance. These tools contribute to improving the accuracy of results and facilitate researchers’ ability to handle large volumes of data in the shortest possible time, thereby increasing the efficiency and quality of research.
