International publishing trends in the field of libraries and information: Scientific review

Abstract

The scientific review aims to identify the trends of international publishing in the field of libraries and information, as the scientific review is a tool for surveying intellectual production, allowing the researcher to identify the theories and scientific methods followed and the relevant gaps. This scientific review shed light on the topic of trends in international publishing in the field of libraries and information, as it was divided into three main axes: the first axis is scientific and international publishing, the second axis is trends in international publishing in libraries and information, and the third axis is publishing in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The intellectual production published in the period (2013-2022) was limited and the sources of information varied from scientific articles and conference proceedings, as it dealt with presenting the studies included in the study of publishing trends for university theses on the Pro-Quest base, and that these university theses covered many topics and fields in the specialization, and trends in international publishing for university theses in an Arab country, such as the subject trends of master's theses approved by the Department of Libraries and Information at the University of Tripoli, and the State of India in a study to draw subject maps in the DESIDOC Journal of Libraries and Information Technology,
